Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Registered Massage Therapist to join our team. If you are passionate about helping others, have an interest in strength training, are motivated to help build a high-level and busy practice, are organized, and are keen on working with an exceptional team of healthcare practitioners, and understand the value of integrative patient care, we want to hear from you!
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including health history and physical evaluations, to determine appropriate massage therapy treatments.
- Perform a variety of massage therapy techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage, to address musculoskeletal issues and enhance overall health.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs and goals.
- Educate patients on postural awareness, ergonomics, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health and wellness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
- Uphold professional ethics and standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
- Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and maintaining treatment areas.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid license to practice massage therapy in Ontario, issued by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
- Completion of an accredited massage therapy program from a recognized institution.
- Good standing with the CMTO, including compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough patient assessments and developing personalized treatment plans.
